scattermish - Birthday Mix Surprise

From the scattermish bloooog

I went to two birthday parties this weekend. It's back into birthday season again, there's always tons from like mid-june till like november... hmm that's kinda like half the year, so maybe i'm trippin. Anyway the parties were pretty grouse...
The first one was Sarah's bday (Super Berry Delight mix) which was a kinda house warming for her new place too. Was fun, i hadn't been to a "house house" party in way too long, so it was mad fun in it's own way, was a damn nice pad too.
The other one was Zoey's bday (z to the zizzo mix) which was at a rollerdisco out in ferntree gully. Was some good ol family fun with cheesy tunes and crazy shoes. Apart from the fact that it took us like an hour to find (stupid ferntree) it was pretty fun. Ended up heading into brunny street afterwards and watched the soccer (portugal beating england, ooo ooo ooo- like omg france beat brazil!).
The last mix is from a while back. Was an 80s birthday party for Lachlan, my mate Rohan's brother. Basically it got nice and trashy and i felt good and sick... 80s style.

scattermish - Super Berry Delight (55.6MB, 40:31 mins)
this mix is really cool if i do say so myself, goes thru a lotta niceties i've really been getting into lately. So got some quantic style latin influence, with some grimey bass, jiggy hip hop, hyphy love, some early ozzy avalnches and even a lil bit of the mighty boosh to taste. It's also a bit of an arse shaker.

Tracklist:
Los Hermanos Latinos - Chiquita (Quantic Remix)
Spank Rock - Backyard Betty
Ella Fitzgerald - Sunshine of Your Love
A-Skillz & Krafty Kuts - Tricka Technology feat. TC Izlam
The Mighty Boosh - Tundra Rap
Lady Sovereign - Random
DJ Shadow - 3 Freaks (instrumental)
Dizzee Rascal - Fix Up Look Sharp
E-40 with Keak Da Sneak - Tell Me When To Go
The Avalanches - Run DNA
Danny Breaks - Windscreen Wiper
Daft Punk - Harder, Better, Stronger, Faster (acapella)
Quantic - Transatlantic
Abdominal and DJ Fase - Fly Antics
Treva Whatever - Singalong
Gecko Turner - Limon En La Cabeza (Quantic Dub Mix)
Skalpel - 1958 (Skalpel Remix)
Los Hermanos Latinos - Puerto Rico (Quantic Remix)
Elektro 4 - Tell Her

scattermish - z to the zizzo (32.7MB, 31:07 mins)
I was gonna make this one supa soulful and funky since zoey can get real crazy when she hears that sound, but she can get real crazy anyway. But yeh, it ended up pretty damn hip-hop, actually not really, only at the start, i dunno this mix is a lot of things, but still supa dancy and tis lotsa fun. I reckon it should hopefully inspire an interesting conglomeration of dance moves. It's got a bit of baile funk in there to go with the funk and hispanic flavour, and yeh ze hip hop and etc. I will note it's got a tune from some pretty powerful music girls: Sharon Jones, M.I.A., Nelly Furtado and Lady Sovereign.

Tracklist:
J-Kwon - Tipsy
Pitbull - Mr Bojangles
New Flesh - Home Movie
A-Skillz vs Beat Vandals - Money Banger (drop it like it's hot remix)

Quantic - Don't Joke With A Hungry Man (Seiji Mix)
Quantic - Departure
Bonde do Tigrao & Tati Quebra Barraco - Tire a Camisa
M.I.A. - Bucky Done Gun (instrumental)
Big Boi and The Purple Ribbon Allstars - Kryptonite (acapella)
Lady Sovereign - Ch-Ching (Cheque 1-2 Remix)
Nelly Furtado - Maneater
Mo' Horizons - Ai Mi Morena
Sharon Jones - My Man Is A Mean Man

scattermish - 80s Trash Mash (38.7MB, 28:13 mins)
This one isnt quite as refined as the other too, and it's not really trashy enuf to deserve having trash in it's name, but it's still cool. It fit it's purpose really well on the night, and is a kinda cool mix, has some classic tracks in there... it is the second mix with Hammers Can't Touch this but fuck all else, i fucken go there, or whatever. hmm actually it's the second mix i've dropped Atoladinha too, which is kinda annoying cause i've got lots more Baile Funk that needs to be dropped, but i'll do that when i make a Baile Funk mix... anyway it starts with a CB4 track, need i say more? No i don't need to say more and i won't except for this.

Tracklist:
CB4 - Sweat From My Balls
Salt 'n' Peppa - Push It
2 Live Crew - Me So Horny
MC Hammer - Can't Touch This
Missy Elliott - Lose Control (instrumental)

Tag Team - Whoomp (There It Is)
2 Live Crew - Pretty Woman
